UPDATE 2018: I found a few e-commerce stores selling Kathak ghungroo on string and loose. Here are few links :

NOTE: Select Kathak ghungroo before confirming your order. I have never ordered from these sites, so I cannot vouch to the quality of ghungroo. If you're interested to tie your own ghungroo then I suggest to buy loose bells.

10+ years ago, I bought my ghungroo in Koti, Hyderbad.

Back then my guruji suggested me to buy the ghungroo and rope separately and taught me to weave them. Thanks to him, to this day my ghungroo are intact and beautiful. Lately the ghungroo I see on student's feet are small and keep falling off. Anybody who sees my ghungroo can tell they are good quality.

Since I've seen several other students looking for similar kind of ghungroo I think I can help them with this. I am in India right now and plan to find the same vendor for good quality ghungroo.

Since I started my Kathak blog, I've observed a lot of interest in Kathak lessons.  So I've decided to write a book with the basics I've learnt.

Earlier I had planned to share everything I learnt through my ebook. Due to copyrights, I am able to share the abridged version of my ebook i.e. the basics of Teen taal, Ek Taal, Jhap Taal, Dadra and Keherwa with definitions, notation and theka.
